  • A heavy flow of discarded plastic bottles, tires, logs, and other debris about the length of a football field clogs the Santa Cruz River in the Sonoran Desert south ofTubac, Arizona, USA. The Juan Bautista de Anza National Historic Trail, a popular hiking trail run by the National Park Service, parallels the river in this area.
