Coronado National Forest Closure

Barbeque grills and fire pits, such as this grill in the Gordon Hirabayashi Campground on Mount Lemmon in the Santa Catalina Mountains nearTucson, are sealed to minimize the fire danger. A ban of fires, smoking and shooting has been in effect in the Coronado National Forest in Arizona. On Thursday, June 9, 2011, the U. S. Forest Service will close the 2,000,000 acre Coronado National Forest to minimize the possibility of additional fires. Ar least three fires are burning in Arizona.
