This location is on the western slope of the northern Santa Rita Mountains.
Rosemont Mine is on the opposite side of the mountain. Mexican poppies, (Argemone mexicana), grow in the grasslands in the foothills of the Santa Rita Mountains of the Coronado National Forest in the Sonoran Desert near Green Valley, Arizona, USA.
