The funeral of Christina-Taylor Green, 9, who was shot to death along with five others, in an assassination attempt on congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords outside a Safeway store, took place on January 13, 2011. Numerous others were injured in the shooting spree. Members of the angel project, a group who says that they discourage hatred, stood vigil outside of the church.
