Mount Lemmon

The remains of trees damaged or killed by the Aspen Fire of 2003 compromise the landscape on Mount Lemmon, a sky island near Tucson, Arizona, USA. The fire consumed 84,750 acres in the Santa Catalina Mountains in the Coronado National Forest of the Sonoran Desert. Trees were further damaged and toppled by heavy storms this past winter. New growth is visible in some of the burned areas.
