"I believe in the power of the human spirit to overcome anything", says Frank Zak, 60, who walks twice a day, every day, around his midtown neighborhood in Tucson, Arizona. Zak sustained major injuries in 1982 when his motorcycle was struck by a drunk driver and he was paralyzed and was injured again in another accident with a truck in 2003 where his neck was broken. "It is amazing how many people are supportive. There is still a lot of good people out there--I am really encouraged by that", he added about people he encounters along the way.
